Relationships are very important in life. They can have either a positive or negative influence on us. Adam and Eve had a relationship. Unfortunately, it was a relationship where one person influenced the other negatively and humanity is still suffering from the effects of that negative influence. 1 Corinthians 15:33 says, “bad company corrupts good character.”
He who walks with the wise grows wise but a companion of fools suffers harm. Proverbs 13:20
It is important we pay attention to building the right kind of relationship in life. This is extremely important if we are to achieve any destiny God has for our lives. There are certain things you can achieve from a good relationship, which can elude you if care is not taken.
As we strive to build a vertical relationship with God, we must not lose sight of our horizontal relationship with the people around us. The Bible makes it clear that two are better than one and one shall chase thousand but two shall chase, not two thousands, but ten thousand. This shows the power and importance of building good relationships here on earth.
How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the Lord had shut them up? Deuteronomy 32:30
A positive relationship can influence one’s destiny into greatness, but our destiny as children of God cannot necessarily be destroyed; it can only be changed or delayed just as energy cannot be destroyed, but converted from one form to another.
